We built MintCarb because carbon compliance was too hard
India's carbon obligations come from several regulators at once — BEE for CCTS and PAT, SEBI for BRSR, and the EU for exporters under CBAM — each with its own methodology and data requirements. We built MintCarb so Indian industry can handle all of it on one set of evidenced data.
Why MintCarb exists
Obligated entities under the Carbon Credit Trading Scheme now have emission-intensity targets, verified emission data and certificate settlement to manage. Listed companies publish BRSR disclosures, and exporters supply embedded-emission data for CBAM. Each has its own methodology and data requirements.
Most companies still handle this with spreadsheets, consultants and manual form-filling — which is hard to evidence when a verifier or regulator asks where a number came from.
MintCarb keeps every figure tied to its facility, its evidence and its emission-factor source, applies the methodology each framework requires, and flags gaps before they become findings.
The team behind MintCarb
Leadership & accountability →Vijay founded MintCarb after watching Indian manufacturers work through the shift from PAT to CCTS with tools that were never built for India's regulatory environment — spreadsheets for compliance that carries a statutory penalty, and international software that does not know what an ESCert is.
He leads product and the regulatory direction of the platform: which obligations MintCarb covers, how a figure has to be evidenced before it can be filed, and what the company will not claim on a customer's behalf.
MintCarb is engineered with its technical partner WMAD Private Limited: dedicated infrastructure, PostgreSQL with row-level tenant isolation, calculation engines aligned to BEE and GHG Protocol methods, and a compliance calendar for Indian and Singapore obligations.
What we stand for
Accuracy over automation
Every emission factor, every methodology, every calculation in MintCarb is traceable to a primary source — BEE, CEA, IPCC, GHG Protocol. We do not round numbers for convenience or guess when data is missing.
Built for regulators, not just reports
A good sustainability report is a consequence of good data. MintCarb is designed to produce data quality that survives a BEE audit, a SEBI query, or a third-party assurance review — not just a nice-looking PDF.
Local knowledge, global architecture
India's grid emission factor is not the world average. Singapore's CCS threshold is 25,000 tCO₂e. These details matter. MintCarb is built by people who know that CCTS and EU ETS are structurally different — and built for both.
No lock-in
Your emission data belongs to you. Export everything in standard formats at any time, in any state of your subscription. We earn your continued subscription through value, not data hostage-taking.
